Experience Description

Abhishek Gulshan

Hi all, I am an engineer-turned-naturalist and founder of NINOX - Owl about Nature (a nature education and awareness initiative) that explores the wilderness in the city like no other. I have led EcoTrails programmes with World Wide Fund for Nature in India too. I was drawn towards wildlife and nature when I spotted my first snake, the Buff-striped Keelback, in my first-ever nature camp in West Bengal. After that, I came back to Delhi and ventured into the world of creatures and started educating children on nature and its fascinating beings. Join me on this walk to discover the variety of sub-species among butterflies and their incredible life. I am fluent in English and Hindi.

Explore Delhi's wilderness with Abhishek Gulshan on a two-hour morning walk in Aravalli Biodiversity Park, a restored native of the Aravalli range and an arid scrubland spread across 600 acres. With Abhishek, spot at least 30 different kinds of butterflies and learn all about them. What's more, Abhishek will introduce one to about 300 species of flora, 175 bird species and a wide range of fauna like the Bengal monitor in the park!

Tip: Wear comfortable, sturdy walking shoes and stay hydrated. Carry a pair of binoculars to get a good look at rare species.
